Now who is Audrey as...?
A student
In my Media Arts, and Design studies I do not consider myself an “I paint and draw” artist. I am more of an ideas and culture person. I enjoy research into brands and their history, deep brainstorms into strategy, and keeping up to date with the current societies needs.
In my English studies I have dealt with in-depth analysis of East Asian Literature, experimented with play writing, and become obsessed with film adaptations. There is nothing I love more than discussing a book and getting into heated arguments about what exactly an author meant to do with a piece.
In the spring of 2025 I studied abroad in London, England which was a lift changing experience for me. There my passion for literature, theater, and the studies of different cultures strengthened, and I was given new perspectives on how to view the world.
An actual person
Coffee has been a big part of my life— not to sound like Lorelei Gilmore. It has been my most consistent job since I was 15. Whether at home at my family’s cafe or at school in Harrisonburg, coffee shops are where I’ve found some of my best friends, the coolest music, and an outlet for creativity.
A cafe's most perfect activity, reading, has been one of my safe spaces since I looked like that little girl on the right. From classics to philosophy to modern dystopian, I am in love with the connections that can be made from the author to the reader through words.
Through study abroad I got the travel bug... bad. Visiting all over the UK, I found myself falling in love with each new town I saw, and each new culture within it.

Pictured above: Me in summer 2009 on a hike with my family. Hiking has always played a big part in my life. Even now I never pass the opprotunity to pick a wild flower or get a good hiking stick
What I've been loving lately
Outside of the classroom I have a never ending supply to media and art that I like to consume. Goodreads, Letterboxd and my coffee account are normally the outlet for my discussion of obsessions, but here are some things I have been into recently.
Book
"The Bell Jar" By Sylvia Plath

I am trying to get back into reading classics, and I was gifted this book in a Secret Santa so I thought it would be a perfect one to start with. I just started it and so far I am loving the weird, scattered storytelling.
Movie
The Family Stone

The. Best. Christmas. Movie. Ever. Except Home Alone 2: Lost in New York. I just watched it for the first time and see it being played a dozen more times before Christmas.
Music
The Stone Roses
