American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics
Summer 2025 I worked as a social media intern for the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA). I ended up doing tasks across other departments such as events, marketing, and communications, getting a wide view on how a large organization works.
Genes in Space Video
Genes in Space is a competition AIAA held at their ASCEND conference this summer. The competition invites students in grades 7-12 to design an original biology experiment. I was tasked with editing the video of an interview with the winner for AIAA's social medias.
AIAA also had an online magazine, and a magazine that published 4 issues a year called Aerospace America. I helped manage their social media as well. I drafted 3 press releases over the summer, and was able to write my own article announcing a new historic site which was published on their website.
